- They are not intended for use as play equipment or for activities such as swinging, seesawing, or hopping.
- Never exceed the specified weight capacity of the hammock or chair.
2. Mounting and Attachment:
- Ensure attachment points are free of sharp or rough edges that could wear through suspension loops.
- Choose attachment points with no hard, sharp, or pointed objects within a 1-meter radius around the hammock or chair.
- Avoid using hammocks or chairs near open flames.
- The recommended sitting/lying height is between 40-50cm. Refer to the "Safety Instructions" for further details.
- Only qualified adults should install the hammock or hanging chair, following the provided mounting instructions.
- Adults should handle the hammock's suspension and attachment.
3. Using the Hammock or Hanging Chair:
- Familiarise yourself with how to safely get in and out of the hammock or chair, as they can rotate or tip unexpectedly, causing injury.
- Sit centrally and avoid applying excessive force when getting in to prevent imbalance.
- Children should only use hammocks or hanging chairs under adult supervision.
- After use, store the hammock or chair in a dry, dark place to maintain its quality.
4. Care and Lifespan:
- Protect hammocks and hanging chairs from moisture. If they become wet, dry them immediately while suspended. Never store them damp as this can lead to mildew, weakening the fabric.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to UV light, which can cause colors to fade and the fabric to weaken.
5. Safety Instructions:
- Dispose of packaging materials immediately to prevent suffocation hazards for children.
- Do not modify the hammock or chair in any way.
- The sitting/lying height should remain between 40-50cm
- Check for sharp objects on your clothing before use to avoid damaging the fabric.
- Always inspect the hammock or chair, ropes, suspension loops, and attachments for damage before each use.
- If damage is found, the hammock or chair must not be used until it has been properly repaired using original AMAZONAS components by qualified personnel.
- The wooden spreader bars are only for spreading the fabric—do not use them for chin-ups or to help climb out of the chair.
- Ensure suspension ropes are not twisted before hanging, and do not shorten ropes by tying knots.
- Hopping, seesawing, or swinging in the hammock or chair can damage the fabric and ropes, weakening the structure and posing a danger of injury.
- Never exceed the specified weight capacity as it may cause the hammock or chair to fail.
- Always inform users about these instructions and keep them accessible for future reference.
- Failure to follow these guidelines voids all warranty and liability claims with AMAZONAS.
Additional Notes:
- Ensure suspension ropes are always untangled to prevent them from tearing.
- While the chair can be left outdoors, it will fade under sun exposure, similar to jeans.
- Never store the chair when wet to avoid mildew.
- Hammocks and hanging chairs are not toys; always supervise children.
- Never sit or climb on the wooden pole—doing so could cause the chair to tip or the wood to break.
- Regularly check for damage before use, and do not use if any part is broken or defective.
- Use a strong chain and swivel if rotating the chair, and only fasten it using original AMAZONAS accessories.
